The way I see it it’s not about guilt or stupidity, it’s just that as a woman approaching middle age, I’ve come to see the patriarchal structures and male entitlement in our culture so clearly in recent years, and because of this, it’s easy to see and understand that there are parallel oppressive structures re: race.
