There was also a video from a Jimmy Latenighthost (I think it was Kimmel?) where they asked people on the street whether they preferred Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act, and there were sadly still plenty of people who thought they were different things.

(surreptitiously pulls out dictaphone) "Children's book idea: Baby Hooker. Don't tell Liz."

True, but people do say "fuck" in the UK right? Wait or is it "fock"?

Yeah it's a cool concept, but couldn't they have come up with something less confusing than an "F-rating"? I dunno, like a ♀ symbol? Even a high heel shoe with a smiley face in it, though insultingly sexist, would be clearer.

A slapstick comedy about Robin Williams and Sally Field's marriage slowly falling apart? Shut up and take my money!

Really, a conspiracy? Powerful/popular/well-connected people who do bad things and use their power/popularity/connections to protect themselves is not a stretch of the imagination, it's a sadly accepted reality that has existed for a long time. Besides the many examples in the entertainment industry, there's things

Aw. I like Sandra Oh, too bad this isn't good. She needs a better showcase for her comedic side.

They're both Oscars personae non gratae now. Cheryl Boone Isaacs will probably arrange to have them "taken care of." https://www.nytimes.com/201…

I hope so too, Rose has done so many horrible things that I'm annoyed her and Luisa are still together, and I doubt Rohm would be as good as Regan in making Rose's presence bearable.

Justin Baldoni also posted a selfie with Bridget Regan and Yara Martinez and I'm not sure what that means. Flashbacks to an even earlier time? Rose has ditched her Elisabeth Rohm-face?

Right, I guess my problem is it just sounds weird to me (/by East Asian standards) to consider tea with milk and sugar as pure.

"Maybe get a girl to narrate for you then!"

Yeah, along those lines, "Most who drink tea enjoy its purity and believe little should be done to mask its flavors. So unless you’re in Hong Kong or in a Chinatown somewhere in the world, you’ve likely not enjoyed tea that’s thickened and sweetened" rang untrue to me. Colonial Brits adding milk to their tea was

He already looked pissed and over it as they were announcing the nominees.

Now that it's happened this way, maybe next time we'll get someone not caring and just saying, "Best Picture goes to… 'Emma Stone'!" and then the awkward tension of them scrambling to find the real envelope

The scalpers get money, but people who actually want to see him also get another chance at face value tickets. If he did nothing, you would still get the former but not the latter. At the very least it shows he cares for his fans. But yeah, scalpers are the worst and it sucks there isn't a better way to stop them.

He spends his money in some pretty awesome ways, like buying back his own concert tickets from online scalpers. I read an interview he did with GQ where he said he used to spend too much money buying cashmere sweaters, but also he needs to curb his spending on kid stuff like going to a trampoline house with a bunch of

I wonder if Chelsea Peretti's family is like, "Oh shit, how much of this horror movie is based on us?"

I think the fact that baseball has 10 times more games than football has contributes to the PR problem. A baseball game is less of a big event than a football game is, and it's wayyy more of a time suck to be an avid baseball watcher.

I'm bummed I can't watch a bunch of new episodes at once anymore, but I'm glad I can talk about it in real time with people and stop avoiding any discussion of the show online for fear of spoilers.
