Unique situations like this often result in hang ups. The person on the other end realizes it’s a cluster and just don’t want to deal so they are “accidentally” disconnected. Hell, if I was the customer service rep I would love to take this call because at least it’s different from all the other crap I would deal with

Sure it seems like she had the rental for only three days, but technically we’re only referring to three “chronological” days. Once you factor in all the times she drove backwards around the planet to time travel... She actually had the car for over 2 years.

That sounds right, it must have been set to miles when checked out and km on check-in. Just another example of why you need to take pictures when you rent a vehicle, the cause would have been obvious.

A refund in 3-5 days isn’t nearly enough for that creating that much stress and bad will. The lady is being very gracious as I am sure the agents did in fact hang up on her on purpose.

Joke’s on them - she did 999 mph on a few occasions to make up for bathroom breaks.

I’m going to assume that the car showed around 60476km on the odo. 60476km= ~37788mi and 60448-37788 = 22668. Someone didn’t fix the odo display after it was taken to the US on a previous trip.

Maybe a big bill like that will convince her to slow down.

So everyone in Cali will lease their cars instead. Since you don’t own it

Beyond Zero

Looks good I would buy one over a Tesla.

My entry:

This is cooler because I can drive it to the grocery store.

1.2% reduction so easily.... This is the “easy” solutions that’s needed to add up to what’s actually needed to slow down climate change from we’re fucked to we’re less fucked.

“Just imagine how much atmospheric pollution Germany — or any other country, for that matter — could prevent, if measures like the 9-euro ticket were permanent.”

About time someone made an actually insane looking car. Anyone who poopoos the design is dead inside and needs to go have fun for once in their life.

It’s got a lot of bat-mobile vibes going on

Holy shit. Ariel is building the car that all 7 year olds inside of us has always wanted.

“Ever since the Ever Given’s grounding, the Suez Canal Authority has been beefing up its tug fleet and working to widen portions of the Canal to allow for two-way traffic. It seems the investment on tugs paid off big time today.”

It was the problem in the first case. Egypt has been taking its canal money but not re-investing it. So the canal is far to narrow for current traffic (by ship size) much less current traffic flow (by total number of ships wanting transit).
