I think the thing is that they can win the numbers pissing match game, but when you crunch the numbers the usable payload and tongue weight figures give you a real world usable 10k rating, which gives you overhead for a 8000 lb travel trailer. The trouble is buying a 10k truck for a 10k trailer.

electric golf carts are fine. most use trivially recyclable lead acid batteries, the carts themselves are practically indestructable.
