It's been confirmed that they had approached Martin Lawrence, who I think would have brought an intensity to the role we haven't seen in other Doctors Who.  What a missed opportunity.

She's cute, appealing and has a terrific figure.   She looks nothing like SJP, and that's a good thing.  I do wish she'd stay on the big screen though.
