Reality TV existed well before the 2007 strike. Survivor came out in 2000, The Bachelor in 2002, American Idol in 2002 and The Apprentice in 2004. None of the other reality shows that premiered during the strike like the American Gladiators revival lasted long.

As someone who was on strike and who’s wife was also on strike last year I would put money on the incredibly small number of people that voted no usually have bought into the right wing anti union propaganda of the last 40 years even if they are in a union.

I find that generally people who like to call themselves libertarian are just republicans who like marijuana.
