Smulders has given interviews already and confirmed she’s dead and isn’t in any other episodes or MCU projects. I mean, I guess she could be straight upl lying but it doesn’t seem that way.

I don’t know that I’ve ever read an interview (the actual Variety story, not this AVC shit) that would make me hate the creator of his early work, that I liked, more than that. Much of what I had mistaken for taking nuance and irony is what this motherfucker believes.

Maybe I missed something but I’m confused about the bomb maker a being a skrull. He would have to replace the actual bomb maker in the, about ten minutes, between G’iah getting the bombs from him and Talos and Fury arriving. If he was always a skrull this was all a massive ruse to draw out Talos and Fury, which would

It sucks that Hill maybe sidelined forever now, but I actually hope it’s not a ruse. As you note, it’s a ruse that’s been used already and it would come off as less of a callback to Winter Soldier and more of a lack of creativity.

I have very low hopes from that trailer. Of course, a trailer is always going to push the more “actiony” parts, but I can’t even remember where those parts are even in the novels. Probably in the game? There is certainly intrigue, politics and some violence in the books, but they are mostly philosophical pining about

What? All that was telegraphed for years. The problem wasn’t where it ended up, but that after they ran out of books to follow D&D sprinted to that ending with bad writing, no pacing, and nothing more than the most trite character development.

Have you listened to these guys talk about, well, anything? These guys are literally the last people you’d want trying to make a show where chattel slavery still exists in half of the country. They are devoid of nuance or insight. That shit would’ve been a disaster.

The box office is pretty robust right now actually. With what’s still to come out this year it should match or break pre-covid 2019 domestically. There’s an impression that things are worse than they are because some studios like Pixar and WBD are underperforming, WBD in particular.

This just in: actor in a comedic role acts comedically and in a dramatic role acts dramatically.

I have no problem with Gunn saying that. Despite what a lot of MCU fans claim (and I’m an MCU fan myself) it was not planned out from the beginning because nobody expected it to take off like it did. Gunn has very direct experience regarding that and can apply that experience to avoid some of the hiccups and dropped

There definitely isn’t going to be a Flash sequel. Without going into spoilers, the movie itself takes care of that while slightly leaving the door open if it turns out to be a massive hit. The Thursday night numbers pretty much shut that door though. $9.7 mil is close to Black Adam numbers and about half of GotG 3

I’ve only seen stuff online, but yeah, holy crap. That baby scene... they all look like the doll from American Sniper.

Gunn and Safran have been quite clear that the new DCU is completely interconnected. Gunn:

Another consideration that didn’t occur to me when I posted that comment was that HBO originally thought they were going to keep D & D on for their next big show Confederate, before it wisely got shit canned.

I’m pretty sure I watched the first Extraction, but I literally have no memory about it.

Colin (and Tom actually) have been pretty forthright about that period in their lives. This was long before Tom was famous. He and Samantha were struggling theatre actors when she got pregnant with Colin and she and Tom then decided to marry at 21. Both were struggling with depression and some substance abuse. It

Because D & D wanted it to end. They expected they were going to be able to move on and be the most highly sought after showrunners in history and that ended up not working out so well for them. They said in interviews that HBO was telling them they could take as long as they want but they told HBO, not only could

Yeah, I think most fans didn’t have an issue with where the plot points ended up on a purely narrative level, but just how rushed and bungled the execution was. There was a pretty vocal subset of fans on the internet that seemed to actually think Dany was going to end up being a good queen and living happily ever

Not that comics, or comic book movies, are particularly consistent with “power levels” to begin with, but Supes snapping Zod’s neck was wildly inconsistent with what the movie showed before. It made no sense in context and was just Snyder wanting Superman to kill someone.

Plenty of movies more light on their feet destroy densely populated city centers, but Superman’s complete disregard is almost as horrifying as that kiss in a crater of death is heartless.
