It still looks like a fan film to me in that trailer. I think Ryan Gosling was a bad choice but I understand why the studios wanted him. I know this director has had some hits but I'm more worried of it falling into that trap of just trying to emulate (with more money) of what's been done before.

Well they also allowed Nolan to take long breaks in between his follow-ups and other movies. WB seems to be pretty lax if their directors can deliver. Unless they're trying to out race things like with BvS and then Justice League I guess.

Thats fine. We still got two great Batman movies from it. And I like that they allowed him breaks in between those movies. Which also got us Inception and Interstellar.
