I think it’s the press that wants the post-match interviews more than the casual fan (maybe the rabid fan cares, but would the rabid fan stop watching tennis for lack of post-match interviews; that seems contradictory and ludicrous). If she did didn’t give press interviews and no one wrote about that fact would a

The rules for this are determined by the ITF, which is the governing body that actually runs the grand slam tournaments - the reason they can comfortably say that similar penalties would be leveraged whether at Roland Garros or Wimbledon is because the rules around fines related to media conferences are the same - not

I think this move is about resting so she could go and win in Japan.

Exactly, right? I’ve been following tennis since I was a kid. I’m not sure I’ve EVER gone out of my way to watch a press event relating to it. I certainly enjoy match commentary but sheesh. The rest is just not important at all to me.

I’d assume that there are no obligations to do after match press interviews at the Olympics so I suspect that may be a different calculus for her.

This.

I remember being depressed, it was horrible. I cannot imagine the pressure of everyone reporting on the events she has to withdrawl from...

Yep, you are one of the young ones now

If you honestly believe that this is the first time VS has used a model under 18, I have a bridge to sell you.

Look at that tacky ass mural on the right! It is every failed comic book artist’s dream of a “feminist” super hero team that kills with sexy sexy sex.

This is EXACTLY the mindset VS catered to; the men who honestly thought women wore garter belts and merry widows as everyday underwear. Like, you put that stuff on when you know it is coming off in fifteen minutes and not one second before.

I am not someone who ever bought their lingerie due to marketing.

I have always mused about the bra and panty set I saw in their catalog some twenty years ago, which were decorated with sapphires. The bra alone cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. I wondered, which Arab sheik is going to be the purchaser? And how carefully would you have to wash those panties?

Has anyone in history EVER been measured correctly for a bra at Vickies? They measure under your armpits for the band size. Is it to squish people into their limited sizes or to create more mashed-up boob cleave for the mens to admire?

What about those $2,000 diamond bras?  Keep or go?

I think the VS at the big fancy mall here closed several months ago. No one wanted to sit around the house in a push up bra and thong, I guess.

VS lost me in my early 20s.  They’re just so poorly made.  I have clicked into several ads on instagram for size-inclusive bras and finally pulled the trigger on a DavyPiper.  The lounge bra is like butter.  I’m currently wearing the Nellie Wireless bra (zooms today) and it’s also incredibly comfortable.  Why did I

I’ve never seen VS as actual underwear you actually wear under, I thought it was just for boning

I remember in college (think 07-08), my friends and I would go to Victoria’s Secret mainly for the buy 5 for $35 underwear deal and all just get one pair. It was a highlight of shopping for us. Their bras have always freaked me out. I usually would be excited to find a sale one, but they never fit me well. As I aged,

Victoria Secret is the Applebees of undergarments. There are better options in every dimension, but force of habit and ubiquity have kept them alive long after the sun has set on the mall era they thrived in.
