When you decide as a matter of principle that it’s impossible for you to be wrong or do anything wrong, it’s very easy to simply dismiss any thoughts that conflict with that hypothesis.

And that’s the real goal. That was the goal when he ran for President. He owes serious people serious money. And running for office is the second best way to get people to give you their money. For the first, he’d have to learn how to hold a bible right side up.

For someone like him, the goal is not to win. The goal is not even to be the nominee. The goal is to get a lot of media attention, spend a lot of time on Fox News, lose but claim that you only lost because someone else cheated and would have won if they didn’t, then add “presidential candidate” to your CV before…

I mean technically he’s a snitch, but if your choice is spill the beans on Matt Gaetz vs a chance that you get a tiny bit of a reduced sentence, you roll over on Gaetz. It’s not like you’re gonna have to go into witness protection against that guy.
