Nomadland was a terrible film. They used authentic nomadic workers for a lot of the cast and the contrast was impossible to ignore. The actors looked completely idiotic — like rich folks attending povo fantasy camp.

I have always believed that the cup part of her outfit ripped away just as it was intended to. I think that large sun nipple ring was meant to be seen. No one anticipated the outrage from the public and hence and backtracking and throwing under the bus.

I hear that, but these are public figures. That fame has brought them plenty of fortune. Independent explorations of public events that happened to them based on interviews with people willing to talk about them seem fine, and are only exploiting the same public nature of that person’s life that has given them so much…

I’m split - none of us actually know what’s going on with Britney because one of the issues at hand has always been the level of control placed on her by her own family from a young age. There are genuine questions about her agency/autonomy in statements for or against the doc or basically anything else.

I’m also enraged that people coming from the US are flying to a border city and then taking a cab over so that they can bypass the quarantine they’d have to do if they flew in.  Overall, our government has done a shitty job of stopping the spread because of crap like this.

I really don’t know how Republican women cope with the cognitive dissonance. Then again, Republicans are damn good at denying reality even in the face of factual evidence.

Was the kid who attacked the cat mentally ill and/or suffering from some developmental disorder?  My kid is 12, which means I know a lot of 12 year olds.  I don’t know any who would do this to an animal, though.

what happened: an asian couple was out walking their 2 cats, a dog, and a parrot, and a kid approached them and murdered ponzu. the kid ran back to his family who was having a family gathering and told his mom the asian woman was berating him which lead to a verbal argument and then the family jumped the couple…
