The top photo with the wagon bearing the tree - what with the drivers wearing black masks - reminded me of a ‘mourning wagon (hearse with horses)‘. Which is quite fitting actually. Those trees are afraid of what happens to them next. And there’s Cruella de Ville as the chief mourner.

People were asked to stay home, stop drinking in bars until the wee hours, postpone gatherings like weddings and funerals, shop on line, stay out of the malls etc etc. And thousands, likely millions did. Death threats are never justifiable. I just disagree that I sympathize with her. If you want to talk about death threats that we should be having a serious conversation about the governor or Michigan.

Yup, time to re-examine the whole pardon power amendment. It is just begging to be abused.

Clinton most infamous pardon was probably Marc Rich - who was a crook but the wife was a Clinton friend. He also pardoned Patty Hearst and his drunk brother Roger.  Its actually quite a list. And definitely was a abuse of the power of the pardon - which most pardons are. 

It may not be surprising, as it has been heavily abused clearly, but it needs to be re-thought. Flynn admitted to perjury and was sentenced accordingly. The Royals have been making ‘mistakes’ for hundreds of years - its just that we know about it instantly these days. Its time to retire them as soon as the Queen passes. The National Trust can keep up the royal residences that tourists are really interested in seeing. 

Although trump might believe he can call in favours later, he probably can’t. Its not like he can rescind the pardon if he doesn’t get paid back.

Remind me again what the point of presidential pardons is? Besides tossing out Get out of Jail free cards to cronies.

This is a very up-lifting read. So many people (mostly women) coming together with great ideas to fundraise for great and important projects. Wouldn’t it be amazing to see more men participate in these grassroots movements - and by participating I mean more than just throwing some cash at the problem.

It was never a rich people’s game as much as a senior citizens game. You need 2 things. A ball and a racquet. And a flat place to play with a net strung across. I think it was popular first in Florida = seniors.
