That’s fair.

I’ve never understood the appeal of products like this.

One of my very unofficial “how is COVID going?” metrics is “Are studios pulling movies from theatres or delaying theatrical releases.”

You can also just open up a different kind of browser and enter the correct word on the first try. Play the game in Chrome, get the correct word. Go to Edge/Firefox/Safari and do it again.

One of my issues with the season was that we got so little character development of EVERYONE, and as a result, I had basically zero emotional attachment to any characters. Honestly, I didn’t care who lived or died because they were avatars, not characters.

I haven’t read the books so I went into the series with no preconceived notions.

The ID4 sequel vs. the Pacific Rim sequel would be quite the battle of awfulness. I’m not sure which movie I’d give the nod too in terms of being “more bad”. Probably Pacific Rim as I actually remember things from the ID4 sequel yet the Pacific Rim sequel (which I know I’ve seen on streaming) is ... pretty blank in my

Agreed. Independence Day being another example of a perfectly fine stand-alone movie that did not require another go at it.

We need a “vaporware” term equivalent for movies

“Movie gets delayed” seems to be an evergreen headline these days.

Needle in a Timestack will be released in select theaters, digital, and on demand October 15. It’ll then hit Blu-ray and DVD on October 19. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Agreed. Netflix is really pushing competition cooking/baking shows right now and Flay would be a big “get” for them.

Agreed. I loved Good Eats, both the original and the reboot. And Alton was always fun on Cuthroat Kitchen and anything else he did on Food Network.

Given the size of Guy Fieri’s contract, I’m not surprised by this news. It’s pretty apparent that Food Network is all-in with Fieri’s vision and that there’s not a lot of money left over for anyone else to get the same kind of deal.

Huh. This season is airing in Canada on CBC, and is tagged as Season 11, not season 9. And having watched the previous 10 seasons on CBC’s streaming service, I’m curious as to which 2 seasons the US didn’t see.

I have only seen that movie once (in theatres, in its original release) and despite owning the whole BluRay set, have never, ever, ever watched it again.

This is the correct opinion.

I .... I ... I love Red Delicious apples? Am I allowed to say that? Because I do and always have. Golden Delicious are also very good.

I’ve seen the behind the scenes, but surely the SPFX used in actual movies can be applied to “behind the scenes” footage.

Yeah, colour me super skeptical on all of Cruise’s alleged stunts. Someone really needs to talk to insurance companies that underwrite movies to see what they do and do not allow actors to actually do on set.
