I am a ridiculously fast eater and I blame that on 15 years in journalism where I scarfed down food at my desk at lunch time in between interviews and story writing. And I’ve never been able to break that and slow down. Unsurprisingly, I struggle with my weight.

Bellator is basically a non-factor. They occasionally do a million or more viewers for a freakshow fight, but their week-in, week-out ratings are not great.

They do. Except the PPVs are on a month delay, unlike WWE where they are live. UFC would be crazy to adopt the WWE Network model, though, because even 100,000 buy PPVs are still profitable.

That’s entirely fair, considering we’ve seen a few recent examples of fighters refusing to do media because they’re not getting paid extra for it and are having to break camp for it.

Good piece. Two additional thoughts:

The Lorca reveal was awesome. I cackled on my couch. Discovery may actually be my favourite show this TV season.

I use Checker Plus for Google Calendar and while it doesn’t “integrate” Gmail and G-Calendar, it at least provides some easier access to your calendar all around on the web.

If it is as terrible as the rumour mill suggests, Disney should just eat its losses and kill the movie.

Based on the C3PO info, I’m assuming Han and Chewie were introduce at a party by Darth Vader.

I really liked last night’s episode because Michael’s story arc has basically reset to the beginning: she’s gone from being a mutineer against her superior to being a mutineer against her superior.

Yup. We’ve been doing this our entire lives. I use the extra day at home to catch up on the accounting (need to pay off the credit card from the road!) and do meal prep, grocery shopping, laundry and such.

I ate breakfast at his Linq restaurant in Vegas and I quite enjoyed it. Decadent French toast for the win.

I remember flying back from a Mexican resort a couple of years ago and a guy walked on the plane with a giant take out pizza from the pizza restaurant on the security side of the airport, and I thought that was the most brilliant thing ever as he had food for the entire trip home and it was freshly made for him.

Did you read George Lucas’s original Star Wars script(s)? Because they were, by and large, terrible. (And I say that as an enormous Star Wars geek.)

Laura’s touching phone call with her son at the top of the show might as well have had a closed caption underneath saying, “She’s going home soon!” because it was kind of that obvious.

After reading the comments here....

Ben playing his idol in advance of the vote was a terrific piece of psychology. Every time I think Survivor can’t possibly find *another* weird twist in this game ....

Good rant. :-)

We made this a couple of weekends ago and it was terrific. Tastes like a giant perogy without all the hassle of actually making perogies (and my family makes EXCELLENT perogies, but they are labour intensive.)

We’ll have to wait til next week’s episode to find out if they’re right. (They aren’t.)
