Obi-Wan’s grand-daughter, actually. The timeline doesn’t work to be the child of Ben Kenobi.

Yes, I’m hoping Rey is Obi-Wan’s grand-daughter. That would make for a more satisfying reveal, IMO, than her being a Skywalker or a Solo.

The best part of the theory, IMO, is that it sets up an inevitable Episode 9 showdown between the grandson of Vader and the granddaughter of Kenobi and it lets the Kenobi family set everything right for the universe, not the Skywalkers.

Grand child. This sets up the final Episode 9 battle as the grandson of Darth Vader and the grand-daughter of Obi-Wan in a callback to the lightsabre battle of A New Hope - only this time, the Kenobi wins once and for all.

My favorite theory of Rey is that she is neither a Skywalker nor a Solo, but a relation to another main character from both previous trilogies. And given who JJ brought in to do a voice cameo during the flashback scene when Rey touched the lightsabre....

Hopefully this is just a first step to having an actual BROADCAST button in the “Compose new tweet” window similar to the POLL button and the elimination of the Periscope app completely. If Facebook can fully integrate a live video feed option into their mobile app, then surely Twitter can do it and no longer have to

I fully expected to hate BB8 in this film like I hated Jar Jar in the prequels, but darned if the little rolling droid didn’t totally win me over quickly. And that thumbs up was both adorable and cute, and ridiculously great and awesome.

Which, basically, was how TweetDeck originally started. You had the 140-character limit, but on TweetDeck you could type more than that, and only other TD users would be able to read the entire post. Regular Twitter users would have to click a link and you’d get taken to the whole thing.

No. There is another.

I was a big proponent of OS/2 Warp and was convinced it was going to win out over Windows 3.1 because it was better.

So will the “big car chase on the strip” finale be changed due to last night’s car massacre on the strip?

Just as interesting, IMO, is “all the stuff from the film that isn’t even remotely hinted at in the trailer.” The Bad Robot folks did a great job hiding major characters, plotlines and scenes/settings by leaving them entirely out of the trailers.

I really, really, really want to like Spark. But every time I put it on my iPhone, it refuses to either show notifications, or show icon badges, or show up in my notification centre, or SOMETHING. It’s so bug-ridden it’s crazy.

Try Outlook, Spark or Inbox by Google.

My favorite app for email on my iPhone is Outlook. Microsoft has done a really good job at balancing out “features” with “simple usability” IMO. But there are tons of good email apps out there - Inbox by Gmail, Boxer, Spark... it’s a matter of trying a few and seeing what you like and what fits your workflow.

Wait. SUPERMAN IS A PRO-WRESTLER!?

Just flew Vancouver to Australia, and then New Zealand back to Vancouver - 15 1/2 hours and 13 1/2 hours.

Back when I was a journalist, I had the opportunity to see the press screening for Return of the King that was lacking Elvish sub-titles that were in the public release mere days later, which meant what I saw wasn’t the FINAL version of the film and that Jackson/WETA/et al were still working on the film that close to

I had breakfast at his restaurant at the Linq in Vegas on my last trip - AND IT WAS GOOD! (No, seriously, it was.)

Very happy with this development, as Outlook’s calendar integration on iOS has been pretty good, but not so good that I feel like I can move the default Apple iOS calendar off my home screen. Maybe the Sunrise integration will finally let me do that.
