If this is her only source of income then I think that's actually really sad. I wish she was actually going to university, or working a job that could give her some work experience besides wiping her ass with panties and selling them to creeps online.

Space Mountain was actually the one famous ride I didn't get to experience because the wait was like 4 hours. I actually rode It's a Small World 3 times because I thought it was such a charming relic. The Hall of Presidents was hilarious, as was Tomorrowland. I can still appreciate some of the kitsch in Disney World

Sorry, but from the outside looking in (person who grew up with no Disney and only became exposed to it as an adult) everything about Disney films and parks looks like 100% shameless merchandising, 0% soul. Get your happiness from wherever you want, but there is better quality stuff out there.

Definitely. It's also in creative fields where you're out of luck if you haven't been doing internships from right out of high school.

Yeah, it's insane but I guess it's the only way they can comfort themselves about the insanity of the job market right now. When I look back I realize how insanely early I was pressured to choose a career path (I think I decided at around 15).

The cult if Disney is fucking powerful. I personally think it's a little sad that people's childhoods are so defined by a single corporation.

I don't know if it's a generational thing. I'm in my early 20's, and I don't know a single person who thinks this way aside from a few "artist" types who only want to support themselves with their creative work. I think it's more that American work culture has become so overwhelming for nearly all fields (answer work

Goodness, I laughed so much when I realized that "Africa" was a fucking tent-thing selling necklaces and some dirt. I guess to Disney's credit they did have Morocco.

My parents didn't let me have anything Disney as a kid, so of course I never went to the Disney parks. My best friend's family in high school thought that was an absolute crime so they took me to Disney World for my 18th birthday. HORRIBLE.

Me too! I love the weird mid-century design. It was the only part of Disney World that didn't make me hate myself, and all the people around me.

I got accused of being a racist homophobe because I refused to seat a gay black couple at a table large enough for 8 during our dinner rush ("We want more room and privacy!" Then eat at home!). They sat there anyway, refused to move, asked to see the manager, and told me they'd be happy to get me fired. I was so close

This is actually a super common attitude found in a certain type of customer. I was a hostess, and when I'd tell people that they couldn't sit at a specific table because it was reserved a disturbing amount of people would say something like, "Is it really or are you just saying that?" Or they'd ask to see my

I worked at a sushi place and a lot of customers would ask for sushi without rice. I'd say, "Well we also have sashimi." Then they'd freak out, "NO I DON'T WANT THAT. I WANT SUSHI, JUST NO RICE! I WANT TO TALK TO THE MANAGER."

I'm curious too. I know a couple of Japanese women who actually really liked Katy Perry's weird kimono AMA performance, so I'm not really sure what the general reaction to this will be.

She's desperately trying to be relevant. Sad.

Definitely this. Plus, dealing with angry drunks is mentally exhausting, and occasionally quite dangerous.

How old are you? Seriously, I don't believe you can be a day over 15 with your petulance. Please reach out to mental health services, your words are not the words of a healthy person.

I can't speak for servers, because I was only a hostess, but I'd say that most food service people will approach customers with an open mind and only get icy when a customer exhibits a bad attitude. If you give off good vibes, you'll get good vibes back! The servers commenting here are just venting.

I'd say it's specifically middle-aged white women.

They've been a thing for like 5 years now. It's only just becoming more mainstream.
