Sir Alex Ferguson was fined by the Premier League for failing to talk to the BBC, so there is an obligation on managers. It's just different rules. If the NFLPA wants to exclude fines for player interviews in the next CBA, they can try to get that. Until then, the comparison is moot.

This is a great recruiting pitch for the Cavs: "Come to Cleveland. We've got nothing!"

They aren't the same people.

Assuming this is satire, what's the point? Is it that the union is ineffectual or that they players bargained away their right to opt out of press conferences so they should shut up?

I could see a frat boy up there on a stepladder with a trowel, while wearing safety glasses.

That's his twin brother, Seth.

The dog has apologized for its role in the incident.

I thought he was going to miss the free throw at the end.

"One would assume there would be some sort of eligibility rule preventing a team from running a random old man onto the court in an actual game, but who the hell knows?"

It means get it under control. I think it's directed at the refs, who are letting the game get out of hand.

That's only if someone has already used their discovery claim on him, which doesn't seem to be the case here. Discovery rights expire when the season ends anyway.

There are no "nebulous machinations". He was available on a free transfer and TFC bid the most. There is no MLS allocation for foreign players from outside MLS.

That Crouching Tiger chick would have made it.

They have been in the league eight years and have never made the playoffs. If the league is fixed in TFC's favour, they're doing a terrible job at it.

At least he didn't miss the game.

So, a 5-4 decision on the question? Let's just make Anthony Kennedy emperor.

"Here's the thing, though: only one number factors into Super Bowl attendance statistics, and that number is STADIUM CAPACITY."

Would the Raptors be eligible?

You don't have free-agency within MLS, but, once your contract is over, you can sign anywhere in the world. Soccer is not like the other sports in that respect. There are scores of leagues that pay comparable or higher salaries to MLS. Not that I disagree with free-agency, but there are options.

Turning a 6'9" pitcher into a side-armer seems like a waste. His high release point would be his biggest advantage.
