Sounds EXACTLY like the C6. Big surprise.
Jalopnik misquoted. The actual quote was "The performance is no match for an RS6." I don't think you can qualify a car as being better because it is more usable (like the Prius example), and saying it is better because it's more expensive is just idiotic.
LOL, okay. How much do you want to bet on that Mr Head of Quattro?
I agree. The Supra would be absolutely nothing without the 2JZ.
Inventive. He's in no ones way and is making good use of that empty side walk, a parking spot should have been there in the first place.
You're completely missing the point with the weight. Sure it can still be a great car with 3700lbs, but lose the 1500lbs (not exaggerating) of hybrid equipment and you have a 2200lb 595hp hyper car. The handling and braking would be absolutely fucking ridiculous because of the weight loss, and you wouldn't have to…
Yes I do. I'd say I know quite a bit more about people with money than you do, but I digress. Who are you to say they don't care about lap times? You do realize that almost everyone that buys an expensive hyper car is an actual car enthusiast, the famous people and athletes almost exclusively go for entry level super…
Dumbasses. Dumbasses everywhere. Some of the replies to your post are downright shameful.
Except the GT-R is dogshit compared to this car. The fact that you could get X amount of GT-R's and save X amount of money for the price of this car would never even cross the mind of someone that could actually afford one of these. The 918 is in a completely different league and should never be compared to a GT-R.
Paddle shifters huh? Oh how I wish that it would come with a DCT, but I can't see that happening even in my wildest dreams. God I hate automatics so much.
$25 million from the state isn't entirely "privately funded".
What a bunch of cocksuckers. I hope this comes back and bites them in the ass.
Wait, owners? I thought this track was built with public funds? The fuck.
There's two things that I've noticed in Oregon.
All current Quattro systems (sans A3 and S3) are rear biased with some allowing transfer of 100% of power to the rear, they are mechanically very similar to Subaru's AWD.
STI AWD is rear biased. It is physically impossible to get more than 50% of the power to the front. It is not transverse either.
People are completely missing the point here. For handling it may be dumb, but when you're on surfaces with little to no traction they become absolutely brilliant.
You don't seem to understand what I'm saying. Built motors in general don't last, it's not how much power they make but how they are built. The main culprits are forged pistons and the motor's build tolerances. Forged pistons expand and contract a lot every time the motor is heat cycled which wears down the cylinder…
