The best part of the scene is that Freddie doesn't buttonhole Hector.  He starts with an "I know your kind" and then gets things wildly wrong.  Freddie just keeps swinging until he finally makes contact with the bat.  It's clear that no matter what Hector said, Freddy was going to end with an  "I know your kind."
