It’s pretty sad when people don’t understand that pokemon go barely makes you look at your phone. Battery Saver is a godsend, just keep your phone in one hand, upside down, flip it over once or twice a minute to check what’s close, wait for the vibration, stop in a safe place, then move on. No need stare at the screen

That’s kinda what people did anyway, Pokemon or no.

People didn’t walk around staring at their phones before this game then?

I don’t play it because I find the actual 3DS games to be better Pokemon games, but I’m not going to shit on people for doing it. They’re getting out. They’re getting exercise. It’s a win.

Who cares what they look like?

Doesn’t shit like this just make the usual humdrum of life just a tiny bit more irregular and entertaining?

Holy shit!

He’s adorable!

This thoughtful exchange in a comments section actually touched me deeply tonight. I’m a little emotional, I think, but thank you both.

Hi hi!

Eleven police officers have been shot in Dallas, and four killed. It is good and right for Jezebel to cover the shooting deaths of persons of colour by police in detail: that they receive personal, detailed attention in the media that they were denied in life. And yet I think that the deaths of these police officers

Challenger Explosion. Watched it live in kindergarten. When my teacher, Mrs. Hendrickson burst into tears, I knew some shit had gone down.

I’d watch the Pope’s let’s play channel.

You do a really good job describing the absolute primal rage one feels when a loved one gets mocked or treated like your brother did. I don’t know where it comes from but it’s powerful. As an aside, my wife and I often say that one of the many silver linings that came from our 2nd son being born with Down syndrome is

I’m very sorry for what your brother had to experience, but you need to remember that words like “retarded” and “cripple” aren’t necessarily instantaneous triggers for everyone who is disabled or for their family and friends. In the context you mentioned though, definitely. If I caught someone mocking my disabled

“(like - I don’t really care that you don’t think it looks good; watch it when it comes out and offer legitimate opinions or don’t).”

What a stupid argument. He’s obligated to weigh in on something he doesn’t want to weigh in on? I don’t go to movies that look bad. And I’m sexist because of it? I didn’t know I was

I assume he changed from “Nintendo” to “Video Game” in order to review more games from other consoles and systems and not be stuck with Nintendo only.

The world would be a much, much better place if people could stop for a second and imagine what it would feel like if someone said the horrible shit they’re about to say to someone they cared about. Great article. Thanks.

ehh, I didn't go that far. I more so pointed out that it's stupid to get something for self defense with out knowing how to use it.
