It wasn’t Republicans who kept the law from being enforced. It was appointed individuals at the FBI and sheriff’s office who are responsible for that.

I know it. You and I agree.

No. When a law is simply not enforced that does not make a thing legal.

This is the NRA’s own fault. They hire tone-deaf spokespeople and leadership and spend almost all of their time chasing corporate money, while at the same time bleeding their own membership for every penny in ways that would make PBS jealous.

Now if only we can get them to drop the TSA.

I’m aware. It’s true. I remember how they improbably re-elected Ray Nagin after that bullshit with Katrina. That was just one crazy thing out of dozens.

Sounds like the State of Louisiana owes this man 38 years worth of lost wages, opportunities, and compensation for the freedom that he was deprived of thanks to their incompetence.

I don’t mock the UK’s NHS. I envy the NHS. I’d love something at least somewhat like it in the US.

Oh I’m sorry, didn’t the ACA fix all of this? No?

I can think of many people who did far worse things than Bushnell who are lauded. Bill Clinton, John F. Kennedy, and Ted Kennedy are examples that come to mind.
