I don’t KNOW I won’t like it. I suspect that I might not, but won’t know until I play it. And sometimes things look unappealing on the surface but turn out to subvert that impression substantially. I didn’t think I liked fantasy much until I played Witcher 3, which is now my favorite game. And I played it because I

you know, city of heroes died, this went down, champions online is kind of on life support. how do video games, which are power fantasies, have 50 versions of normal guy with a gun and no major AAA super hero series. and yes i know the batman brawlers and infamous, but that seemed to be a very focused superhero game

Hello, and welcome to another installment of “Oh god, why do I keep volunteering to re-read the worst Star Wars Expanded Universe novels, do I have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome?”

That one really hit home for me. I work in a retail store, and it was a few years ago that they started putting in an aisle or two of Christmas stuff the same time as the Halloween. In August. As soon as November 1 comes, it’ll be all Christmas.

Hm...that shouldn’t be bending that way. That REALLY shouldn’t be bending that way. OH GOD WHY ARE THEY BENDING IN THOSE WAYS

First off, Femvengers?
What the hell Ruffalo. I thought you were better...
That’s some Stalone grade branding right there.

Also of note regarding Battlegrounds’ accessibility: it requires a lot more knowledge of military weaponry, and the UI is ugly, unintuitive, and just about as unoptimized as the rest of the game. (I’m still amazed the game’s main menu is just a glorified web browser running on an HTML backend.)

...every post you make, every text you send, I’ll be watching you...

Just a minor quibble, but that is probably not a reference to Secret Wars Storm/Thor, but looks be a reference to New Mutants/X-Men story where she used a hammer given to her by Loki. Uncanny Annual from ‘85, IIRC.

Here ya go:

Buy me the game. That way you get the best of both worlds. You get to indulge and snap it up on release but I’ll be the hero by subjecting myself to any glitches and the lack of extra content.

B-b-b-but it was just a “heated gaming moment.”

Donate to relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey and you can get a Destiny 2 emblem as well as a pin from Bungie. More details right here.

I was a Gen 1 Muppet fan. I watched the tv show in first run in the ‘70s. I even watched Sam and Friends, which featured Jim Henson’s proto-muppets, on local DC tv in the early ‘60s. And of course I’ve seen all the movies. I’m glad they’re still trying, but in truth it was never the same after Jim died.

Counterpoint to all the “kids are toxic jerks” comments:

I once had a 13 year old, English-speaking Korean girl (as in currently living in South Korea) act as my guide in Borderlands 2 when I was too wracked with social anxiety to turn my mic on and ask for help. She talked non-stop about herself, her family and game

You heard em everyone. Nobody gets to make the games they want to make anymore, you only get to make games that Lozzle wants to play. No, nevermind the fact that Lozzle is one person out of millions of people who play games, and forget about the fact that there are hundreds, if not thousands of games outside this

So....Rey’s father confirmed?
