I am also really starting to hate the word “content”.

Send the ghostwriter out on the interview circuit, they’d be more lucid.
Seriously! I can only name two of her songs, and I don’t follow her except for headlines in my feed, and even I know she isn’t as old and washed up as she looks here.
Yeah, I had to stop following her, it’s too depressing. The dancing, oy. She’s SUCH a good dancer, I would love it if she was actually going through her moves from her videos, but it’s just twirling. It reminds me of caged animals, doing the same repetitive things because they’re going nuts being locked up. Whatever,…
My dime store diagnosis would be she is trapped in her teen years. Britney was dressed up and made to prance around for the masses and never had the ability to control her own self-image. Her Instagram postings are telling in that she continues to express herself in a sexualized manner. (She has every right to but at…
This is a refreshing reply to read. Observant, concerned, thoughtful. A rarity.
I want Britney Spears to be happy. Her Instagram posts of her doing the same dance move over and over in clothes or not depress me. She seems like a woman dying to say something, but all she has been trained to do is to dance for the camera. She continues the pattern after her freedom because she doesn’t have the…
You must be no older than 31
She is protecting her money. There might be more to it, but this is one of the main reasons.
I’ve also heard that, but I don’t think that Brand is that calculating. I think his drift to the Right is just a natural consequence of being “anti-establishment” without being grounded by any greater ideology. That allowed him to be as easily swayed by the social media algorithms as his followers. He was rewarded…
Can I just pay money so she doesn’t come to my house?
First article was written by Audra as well. Guess it’s too much to ask her to get this particular judge’s name right.
That’s the problem with the internet and social media in general these days. Everyone is very quick to make a decision on whether someone is “bad” or “good” based on very little information in a hive-minded manner. People are more complicated than being categorized as good or bad. Ashton, Mila, etc were friends with…
Did they discredit victims in their letter? My knowledge is that they tried to present another side of Masterson that they had experienced as part of their friendship. Giving knowledge of that other side of a person is supposed to be part of the ‘justice’ element of the criminal justice system (the blindfolded woman…
What if...what if we admit that people are inherently complicated and don’t require that the people who are close to those who do bad things immediately denounce them? What if we say that even people who are on death row – who are a majority black and brown men – deserve to have one or two people who have loved them…
Superhero movies do really, really well in China, I've heard. That's why DC and Marvel will never stop churning out this shit even though it's the mostly the same plotlines. There are only so many things you can do with a superhero.
Yeah, that’s why I believe close friends and family deserve a lot of grace and latitude in their support of people who may have done truly awful things, with the bright line exception of directly attacking victims. I think it’s even understandable when their personal convictions persist past legal convictions.
I agree with all of this. Especially regarding the multifaceted, often-times paradoxical nature of human beings. I honestly think that any one of us can be a good, moral person and an irredeemable monster, all at the same time.
It’s a vexing scenario.
