Drivers-ed is optional in Canada too. In NS, you can write the test the day you turn 16, and are handed a license with an L on it (learners) which means you can only drive with a fully licensed driver and nobody else in the car for 6 months (reduced to 3 months if you take the drivers-ed course), then after the 3-6

And part of THAT problem is we’ve built a society where a good many people, including poor and working-class people, are absolutely dependent on their cars to get to and from work with no other options. I’m for much stricter driver training too, but I can see the economic downsides to “easier to lose” as well. It’s a

I do think a license is way too easy to get. At least in Michigan you don’t have to even take driver’s ed. Once you turn 18 you can take a driving test and obviously if you pass you get your license (can’t remember if there was a written portion or not).

I agree. Make licenses harder to get and easier to lose, then people will put effort into not losing them. The problem is drilling into people that driving is a privilege, not a right.

It’s called the NFL. You’re not going to win games turning the ball over.

It’s amazing how quickly the liberal firing squad is willing to turn on its own. We can’t keep doing this, letting these unsubstantiated MERE ALLEGATIONS which may be politically motivated cause us to lose sight of the bigger goal. Do we really want another Republican in there? Yes, sexual harassment is bad, but is

“I keep thinking of the rural driver that is too far from charging stations (electric cars) and needs to regularly drive on rural 2 lane roads in the dark with drunk drivers and deer.”

But those Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell moments cover up a lot of ills.

If you are suggesting that Baltimore should jettison Flacco for Kaepernick, you are out of your fucking mind

Last night was perfect example of where a weak product is killing the NFL. By trying to take over the entire week, the league has hung too many single games out on their own. With multiple early and late games on Sundays, you have opportunities to use NFL product (highlights, look ins, switching to a more competitive

Baltimore is the only exception here, in that I don’t blame them for sticking with Flacco (read:$$$$$). Everyone else had a starter go down to injury or, in Denver’s case, not being that good.

Ditto, but for a Physics/Geology class.

Trust the Nonsense

Last nights C’s - Pistons game was awesome!

As a former die-hard NFL fan, I agree. I routinely tune in for 2 or 3 quarters of my teams game, but if literally anything else comes up I’ll go do that instead.

There are a group of NFL teams I actively cheer against precisely because of their stupidity re Kaepernick. The following teams would be legitimate playoff threats with him at QB instead of the abysmal warmed over corpses they insist on trotting out:

1) Houston
2) Miami
3) Baltimore
4) Denver
5) Green Bay
6) Arizona

I can’t find video of it but if you owned Smash Brothers for the n64, selected computer control for four jigglypuffs at the lowest ability setting, you ended up with a match in which it is plausible that our president is at the controls.... Jigglypuffs walking off platforms, not knowing how to get on the platform and

That was a basically a video of me walking into a Stats final after not going to any of the lectures.

and in a putrid AFC that record currently has them in a wild card spot

The problem is it doesn’t fit in the same class as those other cars you mentioned, and for that reason, it’s about $9k too much
