There are also many people who live in condo’s/apartments that still commute to work everyday, I know lots of people in my city that do, because public transit sucks.

I know the average driver isn’t concerned about this, but what about road trips? My 2 minutes of filling up and paying has now turned into a 20+ minute pit stop. Cars need to be able to go about 1000kms on a charge for them to prove themselves any worth to me.
