Occupy Wall Street failed because they were too dedicated to being reasonable and civil, and that got used against them. BLM and Antifa have shown they are not afraid to get a little bit forceful and bite back. That is the difference.

A radical shift to the left is relative; the mainline Democratic party is right of centrist in most other Western countries, so the Squad and similar are generally centrist outside the US when you look at their actual policies.

She had 30,000 more votes than second place and (I acknowledge it is apples and oranges) 83,000 more votes cast in her favor than her upcoming republican challenger. This was never as close as the media wanted it to be or warned it would be.
