So much commonality in violence against women and violence against protestors:

“You should believe me when I tell you I’m a nice guy and won’t hurt you.” = “You should believe me when I tell you I’m a cop and won’t hurt you.”

A) I don’t know you. You could be anyone.
B) Never trust anyone who says “Trust me; it’s OK.”

I honestly won’t be surprised if an officer eventually gets shot for something like this. You can’t just show up out of nowhere and take people, I personally would think it’s some random psycho trying to kidnap me

Love that the NYPD response was “No it’s cool, we do this all the time.”

I think the police chose this method by design. Their intent was to terrorize protesters and then gaslight them by saying, “No, you didn’t see what you just saw! She was a criminal and this was a legal arrest!” It is in keeping with their abusive nature and terror tactics.
