Sure, but that would mean that he didn’t reflect enough on his past behaviour to realize that it was never OK. He’s still going with: “It was a different time,” when really it wasn’t — or only was in the sense that no one called him out on it.

Sure, the rules might have been different as they were perceived by powerful white men. But the women being assaulted by those powerful men were being assaulted all the same, and the white men in power not knowing the difference does not make it less wrong.

Yeah, I read this story and was thinking, of course she talked to them. She and the FBI are good pals, which is why she is doing things like voting for them to be able to look at everyone’s online data warrant-free.
