That dashcam footage is misleading in how dark it looked. I live in the area and the road in question is brightly lit by streetlights at night (as are all developed streets in the area). I have had to brake for jaywalking pedestrians at night and have never had any issues seeing them with plenty of time to avoid

That dash cam was garbage. The woman should have been easily visible.

It’s pretty well known that the guns in Chicago come in from Wisconsin and Indiana who have much looser gun laws.

Not surprising at all. The video evidence clearly showed that Ubers software and driver were at fault and thus likely faulty.

...Airlines today, right now, are not able to hide these fees. You keep talking about hypotheticals when there’s something staring you in the face. They can’t hide these fees because regulation says so. They’re trying to get rid of that - less regulation. If you’re trying to argue that regulation is the reason that

To be fair, “expensive noisemaker” (sometimes coupled with nice handling) is the primary motivation for the purchase of lots of sports cars/bikes.

I get your argument, but we’re not talking theory here. This is airline companies right now trying to fuck us over by intentionally lying to customers.

Capitalism: “fuck your forest/reservoir/pristine vista! Muh shareholders!!!”

there are legitimate critiques of this car but the ones you listed are totally silly other than the apex seals:

They don’t offer the Colorado/Canyon with a regular cab any more. They are also much heavier and bigger than the 1st gen. I have a 1st gen Colorado with a regular cab and short bed. One of my coworkers bought a new Colorado last year, and parked next to mine, his truck is massive.

That’s weird, I was told that less regulation was going to allow the market to correct itself and flourish. I thought corporations were supposed to act in the public’s best interest. Guess I was wrong.

they’re still too big.

No one cares because no one buys a new BMW sedan, they lease them. Who cares about reliability when you’re getting a new one every 3 years and BMW is on the hook to fix it during those 3 years?

My neighbor has a BMW 320 that once belonged to Jean Stapleton. Now I’m worried that it’s going to try to burn my house down.

Yep. I won’t go and say I need a pickup, but with motorcycles and hardware store runs and construction tools, it makes sense a lot of the time. Midsize is best size, 1/2 ton trucks are too big to be useful if you ever need to go to a city.

Sufficient VW Pickup for the majority of buyers:

Sigh, time to beat the dead horse. I miss small pickup trucks or true Utes in the Aussie style but I know that will never happen (I WILL NEVER FORGET THE BLUE BALLS YOU GAVE ME GM OVER THE G8 ST).

All I’m saying is give me s-10 size trucks again. They would sell at least one.
