Captain January is my favorite. Her dancing with Buddy Ebsen is awesome.

I'd have to go with Mrs. Miniver. I know it's propaganda, but that ending gets me every time. Of course, with Wyler it's so hard to pick a favorite since he made so many great films.
Who cares about Sherlock, do I get my final episodes of Poirot this year? I'm too lazy to figure the torrent thing out and need to see Curtain.
And Turner Classic Movies is showing five versions of the story tonight.
I've got about an hour to go in Birth of a Nation. I almost skipped watching since I've come to the conclusion that I will never be a Griffith fan.
I loathed Orphans of the Storm. Lillian Gish gave the worst performance i have every seen with her ridiculous overacting. I'm in the middle of watching Birth of a Nation and am enjoying the fact it has far less histrionics than the other Griffith films I've seen.
Green Acres is great for binge watching. Funny, surreal, and surprisingly well written.
Just remember that the most important thing is to always wear your safety glasses. I used to watch way too much New Yankee Workshop.
A bit weird to pick Three Ages when One Week and The General are also on tonight.
There's two Harold Lloyd films on in the wee small hours of the morning. For me he slightly edges out Keaton as the best of the three most well known of the silent comedians. I'd also take Roscoe Arbuckle over Chaplin any day.
Plus a character named "ffolliott". It's not my favorite Hitchcock film, but i'll watch anything with Joel McCrea, George Sanders, or Robert Benchley in it.
Palm Beach Story is as close to perfect as a movie can get. I mostly agree with your list but would slide The Lady Eve down to 5th and shift everything else up. I've always found The Lady Eve to be overrated when compared to Sturges's other films. It has so many great character actors in it, but I don't feel any…
I'm partial to Shadow of the Thin Man if for no other reason than the way Powell pronounces "jockey"
The first Maltese Falcon is pretty awesome in that it is pre-code. It was too racy to be re-released which is how the other versions got made. Satan Met a Lady is awful. I thought the Bogart version was okay until I…
I have that exact same vision of heaven. I'm looking forward to dying and finding out the truth about the Lindbergh kidnapping. I'm leaning towards Hauptmann as an accomplice in the crime but just can't be sure.
The Hunt is my favorite. I've always thought I was a freak for liking it so much since it's so sweet for the Twilight Zone.
