Doug, it could be worse. It could be like my last trip to my local dealer’s service department, “Have a great day and we’ll see you again next Monday!”

Yep, this right here.

Probably showing 72 months because that’s what the market is doing these days. Average new car loan is 68 months and some manufacturers are offering 75 and 84 month loans now.

You’ll also find dealers advertising 0% on many or even all the models on their lot.

Only 8k for a blown engine? I just got quoted $9,000 for a new transmission (CVT, don’t judge me.) on an 8 year old A4. Then again, it was from a dealer.

Certainly and I understand that’s his counterpoint to the other writers here. I’m just supplying the counterpoint to the counterpoint.

When this grille showed up was probably when Audi became Audi to most people. Before, very few people knew of that Other German Luxury Brand.

Maybe it’s because this is on a car enthusiast website and that’s why you didn’t cover it as a reason why people buy new cars: People buy new cars because they don’t want to spend time researching fixes and working on their car.

It was 106º outside where I live yesterday. With zero wind.

You do realize we tried the whole “kill as many as we can however possible” in Vietnam and it’s WHY we lost?

I actually have a happy comment to add to this. I recently took my Audi to the local Audi dealer and forgot my sunglasses in the cupholder. They were a 5 year old pair of Maui Jims (retail around $160), so if anything happened it wouldn’t be a HUGE deal.

I’m 6’2”, which is tall, but not that tall, and I swear I ride Space Mountain in the crouched position because I’m positive the beams over my head are going to remove it from my body.

Every time I tried to find it on any FS network it wasn’t around. Total crap. Fox bungled the whole thing.

They are are taking a lot of liberties with the numbers, considering Toyota’s not released most of this information.

I’m curious. MB has exclusively been a luxury marquee in this country, save for the larger Sprinter van.

I think the problems arise with folks who finance for 72 months and don’t put any money down. You’re digging yourself a huge hole that, depending on the vehicle, you won’t climb out of even at loan termination.

The premium seems a bit outrageous but I’m all for an expanded color palette. There are more colors than black, silver, white, red and blue (like all vehicles on the road).

Dude I work in auto advertising and we rep a lot of Nissan stores.

Actually, from the late 70s to the early 90s VAG Rounded was the official font. They went from Futura then came back to Futura (except the second time it was a custom cut, with the faces known as VW Headline, Bold, and Normal).

That’s awful to hear. My wife recently paid off her car last month & had her title in hand in just under two weeks. Loan serviced by Chase, paid off via a Chase checking account.
