All motorcycle helmets sold in the US must be DOT approved for use on a motorcycle in states with helmet laws. It is a very easy standard to pass and virtually all Snell, ECE and FIM helmets pass DOT testing. In states like Florida, you can wear a mop bucket on your head.

Ideally use an ECE or FIM helmet on a motorcycle with an airbag vest. Snell is for cars.

Snell M2020R is for cars. ECE and FIM are for motorcycles. Snell M2020 stickers on a motorcycle helmet aren’t any better than a DOT sticker IMO.

IMO if you want the best use an FIM helmet with an airbag vest. That standard is used by guys racing motorcycles at absurd speeds with absurd levels on insurance on their bodies. If better safety tech comes along, the racing guys will adapt it.

When the reply of the article is mostly wrong.... Snell has been a marginally better than DOT standard for motorcycle helmets for ages. ECE is a vastly better testing regime for motorcyclists in the real world. FIM even more so. Snell had to come up with the M2020D or get knocked completely out of the market in the

The Snell M2020D is worthless. The Snell M2020R is fine for cars. Snell M2020 can mean either. Neither is as good as ECE 05 or 06 for motorcycle helmets and neither Snell or ECE is as good as FIM for motorcycle helmets.

For a motorcycle the ECE for car racing the OLD higher Snell standard. Despite this replies best attempts the new Snell ratings are indeed junk and designed to keep them relevant in the rest of the modern world that uses ECE.

In states with strong homestead laws, keeping money in a house is just about the only way to fully secure money from creditors. In Florida, a primary residence is immune from most civil lawsuits, liens, etc.

I cut some fine mesh to fit around the back intake shroud of my Vornado fans. They still get dusty but it takes a couple years now instead of a few months. Easy to do. You can also buy something like this for tower fans that does the same thing.

I own few single purpose kitchen gadgets but one go with a GarlicZoom and I was hooked. Easily beats a press. Fast and easy to clean.

Crypto is essentially a commodity and buying into commodity markets is essentially gambling. They boom and bust on news cycles, global events, etc. A person can make a lot of money betting for and against commodities but just as many have lost big. They are always one US or Chinese law away from losing a significant

Missed several cons: The cost to liquidate a real estate asset is very high unlike stocks, bonds, etc. It is a perpetually taxed asset not just when profits are realized. The asset is vulnerable to a host of disasters and insurance typically has deductibles. The asset is a straight up expense when it is not able to be

So they have to know your login, know your password and then backdoor hack your SMS. Sure, good luck with that.

Antibiotic ointment is mostly a scam and in most studies does no better than Vaseline. Amerigel is a good topical for general cuts. A Dankin solution is best if the cut is deep or from a source that has a higher chance of infection such as a cut while in the ocean.

First, that was a study not actual proof of anything. Second the results of that study were mostly inconclusive in terms of general HP usage.

Step 1. Explain what a cult is. Step 2. Tell you children not to join cults.

I love Nina Simone... I hate how virtually every cover butchers her music.

Perfect for my setup. I currently use a 24" side monitor but it isn’t very clean looking and most of it goes unused. Buying the “stuff” now and looking forward to a more streamlined desktop. Thanks!

Use block cheese instead of shredded. Shredded cheese has a caking agent that often causes issues with blending. IMO, oaxaca cheese is the best to melt with cheddar or Velveeta. Monterey jack is a nice alternative.

Those numbers are very low if a person doesn’t have pension or similar retirement income. Most are going to need a minimum of 3000 per month above what social security pays and not counting any growth in the account. This is just to keep up with secondary Medicare insurance, inflation, etc.
