Bah, watching a movie at the theater has far more loss in quality than the better compression algorithms out there. Besides most people watch the vast amount of their content in 720p or less. Most don't notice they aren't watching at 1080p with a better source and that probably won't change any time soon.

If it holds true that no Verizon phone has this service running then "most" Android phones will not have this spycrap on it unlike what is reported in this article. Lot of misinformation still floating around on this so might want to avoid blanket statements like this. That said it is still slimy for carriers to load

Most of the decent controllers have relatively cheap rain/freeze sensors included. Even the modular ones sell the sensor separate for $50 and often for around $25.

Both tablets suck as development platforms because both companies don't really get developers and neither has made it particularly easy to build apps. Apple's Objective-C and pay to play attitude is near criminal and Google landing on Java and Eclipse is horrible. Looking forward to an integrated development tool

Many departments charge a fee for false alarms which isn't a particularly good system either. I agree though that police departments shouldn't shoulder the cost of a partially

"Math" is more than a language as this article attempts to show. Math could be considered more of a religion than simply a language and as this article points there is a "god" like presence in the numbers.

Apple is repeating its past mistakes all over again with closed hardware, locked down interfaces and an iron hand on 3rd party software and content. Not only will Android surpass iOS it is a better path in the long term. Who wants one company dictating what can and cannot be used? Apple should not be a guardian of how

The healthcare and long term costs of a nuclear disaster would easily dwarf these other disasters. While some other power plants are more costly to rebuild and have higher substantial initial damage, radiation is a gift that keeps on giving. Besides those directly effected their descendants suffer from a host of
