Its soul is the ae86, a 100whp wimp. The frs runs the same tires as are on the Prius sport. Its not a straight line car, it wasn’t meant to be. a 2000cc engine without boost or supercharging is not going to impress much of anyone. Plus the scion badge makes it slower (true facktz)

People hop in expecting an Evo VII (for 1/2 the price). Some cars pull, some cars corner, expensive cars do both. The Fr-s isn’t expensive ;)

FR-s is under powered, which is good if you like corners more than you like drag races. The best FR cars (that mortal humans can afford) are under powered/well balanced cars. My ae86 gets more attention than most over powered lug muscles that people drive around doing burnout in.

The ONLY reason I didn’t by an FT86 was the scion badge. I own a ae86 and was waiting for toyoda to wake up and give the market the gt86. Maybe in another year or two.

Exactly, the futo in IV felt like my ae86 on the street. It's butt slid out when it should and it over/understeered as expected. The Futo in V on the other hand is like herding cats.
