I haven't read the Wheel of Time series yet, but I have read a few other Brandon Sanderson books and enjoyed them. Also, you would likely enjoy the The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It's the first book of a trilogy. The second book is out and called A Wise Man's Fear. The third book isn't out yet.
