Dammit, I'll have to come up with another plan.

Double fisting chips kind of sounds like an epic way to combine flavors. And I don't even like chips much.
Good lord, what is wrong with these assholes?
but if it's a death match it means one of them will still exist ;_;
My partner eats more junk than me.
The title made me imagine Michelle holding celebrities by the legs, swinging them around in a McDonald's.
Why are Republicans objecting to kids being given a tiny amount of fruit and veg with their school meals? And why is it such a small amount? Make school meals include at least three servings of veg and one of fruit.
Or! Mortal Kombat, Palin vs Bachman. FIGHT.
Ya I guess I worded it such that it seemed I was insinuating that she didn't know what she was getting into, and I agree with you that she probably knew exactly what she was getting into. It's definitely a gutsy, difficult choice of project for her though. Traditionally these projects have been uncontroversial in…
I know two things about school meals in my state: 1) The companies who make the food/meals for the jails/prisons also make our schools' meals (except in very wealthy areas) and 2) The tomato sauce on a slice of pizza counts as a vegetable to the higher-ups.
I don't get the people who have problems with this. It makes no sense.
Please, someone make this happen. First "celebrities": Ted Nugent, Kid Rock and Victoria Jackson.
"Moochelle"?
She's smarter than that; she knows nothing she does could ever be "uncontroversial". Tain't easy being a black woman in America, nor is it easy to be a pioneer. The first lady knows this via intelligence and experience.
Honestly, I think so much of it has to do with certain people not wanting a black woman telling them what they should and shouldn't eat. Like you said, culturally loaded landlines.
I agree with you. I was just making a joke.
The Obama's had burgers and fries once so she can't encourage people to eat healthy foods? I'm pretty sure she's not trying to outlaw fries or oreos, just make sure that children grow up having junk food as a special, infrequent treat instead of a cornerstone of their diet.
I saw the headline and thought that Michelle Obama was throwing junk food at celebrities.
This is wonderful and I hope the conservatives can not be stupid this time. Verrrry minor quibble: is Michelle Obama really a "celebrity" (as implied by the "other" in the headline)? I love Kristin Bell, but surely Obama is a step above Alba and all her fancy, expensive diapers, no?
Food and food politics is something near and dear to my heart, but it is fraught with culturally loaded landmines. It's both so personal and so political. It seems near and dear to her heart, too. But if she thought a campaign pushing healthy eating and exercise was going to be a snappy, uncontroversial project for…
