It's more that the flexible wing is considered "movable" body work. As the car gets faster the drag on the wing increases and shifts the wing.

haha glad I'm not the only one, i put it on the same tier of annoying than overly loud soundtracks on car reviews (evo, car and driver, etc)

agreed, I had a '99 si for years. They recommended 89 but you could get away with 87 if you couldn't find it. I also regularly saw 32-34 mpg on the highway on longer trips when I would visit my girlfriend. 25-30 mpg on a good tank hwy/city and with a little spirited driving
