Haha when I was first getting second hand info about menstruation, I thought you just had one period, then you were good to go, any time you had sex you got pregnant. I still remember the day the penny dropped that it happened EVERY MONTH. It was so unfair to me and I cried about it for weeks!! Lol. I was only 7 tho

What I wanna know is - what does this mean now, for the future of gymnastics? Is the sport now tainted or what’s going on?

My other super religious friend who thought she’d have “dozens of orgasms” on her wedding night because she “earned” that by staying a virgin and marrying one.

I’ve posted this anecdote before so this may sound familiar.

...thought she’d have “dozens of orgasms” on her wedding night because she “earned” that by staying a virgin and marrying one.

Okay.

I’ve long stopped being horrified at how many grown ass adults I’ve met and seen who are totally ignorant in these matters.

Anna Kendrick for class president.

I still at times can’t believe that our love created life!

As a guy, I get a significant amount of pleasure seeing these other menboys completely break down when presented with a majority/all-female cast of something that isn’t a romcom, particularly when it’s a remake/continuation of something where males have been the historic protagonists. Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, and now

Not if the women are actually thinking characters with their own agency as opposed to sex objects, apparently.

“Thelma and Louise” paging Brad Pitt!

This is absolutely correct. The men around me that say things like this have girlfriends and careers. Casting them as basement-dwelling neckbeards obscures how common this thinking is in “average” dudes - the ones who aren’t being ignored by society when they say it.

He is killed 20 minutes in and the entire movie is his girlfriend avenging him.

At least 50% of all films should be all-female cast. Maybe a token male, if pressed. But he’s gotta be hot and non-essential to the plot. Just make him someone’s boyfriend or something.

Things aren’t “feminist” just because there are women involved.

But like, it’s scarier than that. They’re less likely to all be some kind of basement-dwelling troll who doesn’t have a job or a girlfriend or any money or success, and much more likely to be Derek in accounting who the boss says is an up-and-comer and who just bought himself and his girlfriend tickets for a weekend

How about digging into it more and seeing if the film is actually going to be really “feminist”? It is directed by a man, co-written by a man (who was the first author?), and mostly produced by men as well. I am questioning whether this was actually a feminist project or a project that was put together initially with

Some friends and I got another girlfriend a vibrator for Christmas when we were in our 20s. She said she’d never had an orgasm alone and only could once-in-a-great-while with her boyfriends over the years. She seemed slightly embarrassed, kind of excited, but also kind of disappointed that we didn’t get her a “better”
