I feel like I’m in a sort of unique position—I’m a former NCAA DI coach who now teaches at a large state school. Man, I love having athletes in my classes, so it always makes me sad/frustrated when athletes express this idea that they think all faculty are against them. Many faculty truly enjoy university athletics

Well that almost went to shit in a hurry.

When Ramsay said something like “Their army is gone” and he felt safe in the castle, I said to myself “But they have Wun Wun”. The two heroes of the season, Hodor keeping a door closed and Wun Wun opening one.

I would almost be willing to give it a shot to give the ol salary a temporary bump. Walk in and demand some crazy salary to see how desperate they actually are.

Oh, brother. I hope there aren’t many people desperate enough to hitch up to that dead horse.

I squeal every time this commercial comes on. Thanks for the pick-me-up.

WEEIINNERRRS

Not to mention the whole concept of Theranos (rapid, broad spectrum shotgun approach to testing) flies in the face of what really needs to happen in medicine, which is to focus less on testing with a defensive approach, and focusing more on diagnostics from an offensive approach, working more with the patient in order

Ugh, I so wanted this technology to work but when I read her ‘explanation’, even I didn’t buy it (and I’m not a clinical person at all)-it just did not smass the pell test at all. I woulda liked to see her oh, I dunno, do a relevant degree and learn how diagnostic tests work and spend a few years getting some

Yeah, it seems like it’s a little too late to start with real science up in there.

My mom has been running lab diagnostics for an area hospital for decades, and when I told her about Theranos and what they were attempting to do, she was pretty floored that any venture capitalist was suckered into investing with them.

Put me down as a reference!

That almost makes me want to apply to one with no real experience at all just to see if they’re desperate enough to call me for an interview. I mean if they’re going to fuck up one way...

Except she’s probably just a millionaire, missing that last comma. Sad!

YOU ALL GOT YOUR GD DIRT BAG

Unless you're allergic to penicillin and sulfas and thats your only option :(

Nice staples! I’ve had them after both of my kidney transplants. Much less painful coming out than stitches!

I’ve had Cipro and Levaquin a few times, and I’m also on prednisone forever, due to my transplants. The Cipro fucked my stomach for weeks, and the times I had Levaquin, I was so sick from both ends I ended up

Wait, Bryn Mawr had a pool boy? I’m feeling really let down by my women’s college experience RN.

Yum! Mine was just stitches on the side of my foot. It looked like a bunion scar.

Apparently nor so rare in Congress after all those folks ate Cipro due to the Anthrax scare. Apparently there are quite a few busted Achilles' tendons.
