I feel so cool now.
I feel so cool now.
They filmed Breaking Bad next door to me, and a large number of producers (Vince Gilligan!), writers, and actors (Bryan Cranston!) were in the area. They were super nice and invited me to have dinner with them on my birthday!
Hey, no need to be an ass about this, but guess what? You also need NON-BANK controls. What does regular, just produced milk have as a bacterial content in comparison with sold-over the internet or milk bank samples?
No, that's not a control. Those are PASTEURIZED samples from a milk bank. Not the same as fresh pumped.
Right, but it's any easy(ish) fix to make. Ensure all pumping equipment is clean/sterile, wipe breast/nipple with antiseptic wipe. I think that could bring down microbe levels to reasonable standards....
I decided to go check out the original article to see if they did a basic control for this experiment (go here for article: http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/early/…). Unfortunately, the scientific methods behind the paper are poor - no controls are given. What about breast milk that hasn't be shipped or…
Yeah, think imma just find some $50 knockoffs and be cool with it.
If you don't like going through the naked picture machine (as I call it), try and use my excuse (which is real btw): just say you can't lift both arms over your head because of surgery, and poof, through the metal detector like old times.
This! I worked in a lab where I did microsurgery on mice, and one small move would kill them (when in reality we just wanted to induce a spinal cord injury). I trained every. goddamn. male and not a single one could get over 25% survival, whereas the rates for a female co-worker and myself were substantially higher. I…
Seconded. So badly.
Thank you for bringing this up because as a scientist, I'm aware that pretty much every goddamn thing out there (yes, even natural stuff) applied/consumed/used at high levels can cause cancer. That's how they test if something is carcinogenic - apply a metric butt loads to an animal or cells and see if abnormal cells…
It's always Sharkweek for my Hallo-wiener.
Ahhh, so as a result of smoking, you are at an increased risk for blood clots. However, I also have a history of blood clots and haven't had an issue - but this is a factor you do need to consider when looking at any birth control with hormones.
You need to find a GYN who will be clear with you. After talking with mine, I was informed of "THE GREATEST THING EVER." You don't ACTUALLY have to take it out for that week and you never have to use secondary methods. The hormones will last up to 5 weeks, but I typically just change it every 4 weeks. As a result of…
Live platypuses cannot be removed from Australia and they have been proven difficult to breed in captivity. However, if you do go to Australia, you MUST go to the Healesville Sanctuary and do this: http://www.zoo.org.au/healesville/wi…
They lap up the milk from the puddles with their tongues - sort of like a kitten with a duck bill...
I may have cried with joy after using it.
Thanks. I love it too! Did you know the platypus doesn't have nipples, and instead secrete milk out of specialized epithelial cells that form milk pools on the skin?
Well, to get the nocturnal echidna...uh...erect, some special touching must occur. I suspect that is why the look on his face.
