I'd like to add that the daughter's "sickies" term for Mexicans was probably supposed to be a double-barrel of disgust for Louie. Not only is it just stupidly racist, but Louie is half-Mexican (I can't remember if this part of his real background made it in to the show, though).
As a Zenwatch owner, that’s really my only gripe. If you have a watchface that is solidly a black background, it is pretty stunning. Anything else and the bezel is very noticeable.
Does this mean that someone who steals a phone has instant access to all of that person’s credit cards? That’d be a bummer!
Other than looking/sounding crazy, what’s to stop people from walking around shopping centers/groceries randomly saying this phrase that could result in money being charged? People are regularly on their phones at checkout lines while waiting for cashiers, standing next to parents while paying, etc. This sounds like…

#earthquakelivesmatter right? :-)
On that, we can fully agree.
I can tell we are just going to talk in circles around each other. I hope you continue to get the quality of service for which you choose to pay.
Exactly this. Keep reading the comments, and you’ll notice that many people think these couriers get posh lifestyles and don’t survive on tips. Some real stingy a-holes read Gawker, and it’s really a shame.
You absolutely are choosing the courier. You want to use FedEx? Go ahead and choose 2-day delivery. You want to use the local courier? Go ahead and use Prime Now or Same Day. If you choose to be blind to that fact, that’s also your choice.
Amazon doesn’t employ the drivers. As I stated above (which you ignored), they contract with local courier services. The drivers work for the courier, the courier gets contracted by Amazon (although there are likely multiple steps missing in the very brief scenario). If the drivers demand a higher wage and the courier…
Except that’s not true. FedEx drivers use company vehicles and have set routes determined by algorithms to maximize efficiencies. You’ll notice that FedEx drivers almost never make a left-hand turn, since that would slow down their day. Same computer-drawn path day-after-day. These couriers have to be much more…
I agree. So, by not tipping the driver, are you punishing Amazon for their improper/shitty practice or are you punishing the driver for their job?
I’m very fluent in tipping history, and commonly read Emily Post updates and listen to shows such as the Dinner Party Download. As I said to someone else, I hate our tipping culture. But on the other hand, I’m not going to punish someone providing me a high quality service simply out of an abstract philosophical…
Interesting that they are plugging a Disney movie, since Disney and Apple are so intertwined. Not even a good movie, too...
I don’t think you understand. These ultra-fast delivery services from Amazon - this service and Prime Now - don’t use FedEx or UPS. They use local, small carriers. Here in Atlanta, they use the Laser Ship courier service. Drivers use their own cars, not corporate trucks. They don’t use the same fixed routes that FedEx…
You do realize that tipping etiquette is much more nuanced (and vague) than just whether or not someone makes minimum wage, right?
Probably not. That’d be my guess for the “connectivity issue”...
Are they? Do a quick Google search and you’ll see that this is a pretty lively debate. I think it’s similar to food delivery service; they get paid a small amount, but not really enough for the service. I’ve had Amazon Prime Now drivers pull up to my door in what appear to be personal (not company) cars. Amazon…
