i think that’s a really valid point as he switches from bad guy to good guy back to bad guy (as opposed to staying a bad guy (then again this series seems to be about grey areas nobody is good or bad))

More impressive, the editing for the series was done on laptops and Sudeikis was involved in the process, at least according to the interview he did with Kathrine Hahn.

I love that bit from DRUNK HISTORY, both for the “I love you, man” of it, but also as a deep cut WEST WING reference (Miranda’s a big WW fan).

According to this NYT interview with co-producer/writer Hudes (along with Miranda and director Jon M. Chu), Miranda was playing that character to save that shaved-ice song, which was going to be cut.

low key wish Lin stopped inserting himself into his projects over much more talented vocalists.

Yeah, I warned everyone I knew after we watched the film on HBO Max that there was a post-credits scene (and it was glorious).

“I’m here to talk to you about the Hamilton Initiative.”

Of course there was already a live action Gundam movie. It’s called G-Savior, it was made for Canadian TV for about a million bucks, and it’s extremely weird:

It’s weird how people who frequent a site about film and tv might enjoy reading about aspects of making film and tv.

Yes. I love that Sudeikis manages to stay on the right side of Ted’s wholesomeness and kindness in a scene where Ted is essentially showing off.  It helps that the script makes it pretty clear that the only reason he’s showing off in the first place is to help Rebecca out, but just that calm, thoughtful delivery about

For me, on the first watch through (three so far), his line right before the bullseye of “BBQ sauce” was confusing, but then you re-watch it and it becomes so much better.  In an early episode, he gets the care package from home, including a jar of BBQ sauce, licks some and asks Rebecca if there’s a food that makes

“Be curious, not judgmental.”

This comment is underrated, but I appreciate it.

I very rarely go back and watch anything, but I’ve watched the dart game scene several times. It’s so, so good, and it’s pretty much just Sudeikis monologuing.

An ‘interesting’ series of criticisms I saw to IBO while I was going through it earlier this year were people getting mad that a number of cheracters were ‘bad’ because they were stupid and doing things that made things worse. Most commonly leveled at Iok Kujan, but the same sort of complaints got levelled at Kudelia,

I won’t pretend to understand the technical aspects of TV editing well enough to have an opinion on this matter.

*deep breaths*

I hate gatekeeping like “you should probably start with Part 1 of a continuous story and not Part 7 or 8.” Such rude people out there, suggesting linear narrative is stronger when experienced from start to finish!

I am sorry this confused you, let me explain:

I'll go a little bit further on that. "Stomp em in the nuts" is supposed to be the perfect parody song that plays off the ignorance and general lack of intelligence found in most mainstream rap; it's simplistic and promotes violence to an almost absurd extreme, making it hilarious. Using it for background music while
