See what I mean. Its a difficult bar to reach

So if it lasts for 5 seasons, that would make Walton Goggins one of the rarified TV actors to have 3 successful series.

Came he just for that comment! Thanks

I kind of made a 180 on this show. At first I liked it cause, come on, how can you not like anything Walton Goggins does, the man is a treasure! (having Michaela Watkins and Rob Corddry also didn’t hurt). Then I kind of got annoyed at it because the main character was way too “perfect” at everything (at being a

So Boyd is going to dating Raylan’s Winona?

yay! so glad to see some coverage for this. really enjoyed season 1 and excited this got picked up for s2! thanks for checking in this season.

Gave this episode an A purely because of Sandy Cohen and Schmidts reaction to Jess kissing his dad

Schmidt's incredulous "HE'S A BOTTOM?!" about his dad letting Jess dominate him was horrifying and beautiful all at the same time.

Cece is genuinely great and has been pretty much from the start.

Schmidt does have the best one liners. I especially loved his speech when he was planning to propose talking about CEce being eerily in the dark about what was happening, and maybe that was why the English took over.

I mean, given that a few seasons ago she almost married someone whose first name she was mispronouncing after the whole "your fertility is going down fast, get on the babytrain or give up your seat" thing from their OB friend, it would make sense that they'd try pretty quickly. It's been established that they both

Schmidt's mom did note to Cece when they met that, while she was great, she wasn't Jewish so it would be a case of 'over my dead body' if she were to date her son. She also thought Cece was Mexican as well, and I don't recall anyone here expressing any disappointment over that racist behavior.

I personally love that Peter Gallagher is the go to guest spot guy from togetherness to law & order missed me some eyebrows…

In my experience, the main reason someone goes by their last name is because they have a common name that they share with friends / classmates. So I'd go Nick.

We'll get double episodes of New Girl in the last four weeks (15-16, 17-18, 19-20 and 21-22). I think episodes 21 and 22 will focus entirely on the wedding, which is great. No way the writers could fit the wedding and all the guest stars into one episode.

It wasn't broached very well, but arranged marriage isn't easy. Leave out the fact that Cece kept her mom in the dark about who she was marrying, and there is still the whole 'rejecting her parents' culture' thing. I don't know that 'racist' is the right word. There is more to it than that. At least my hope is that

Interesting connection: Max Greenfield played a young Sandy Cohen (Peter Gallagher) in a flashback on The O.C.

I loved how in-character this entire episode was, for everyone; I loved the appropriate level of disgust (clearly not just played for humor) that everyone had for Jess macking on Schmidt's dad; I love Nasim Pedrad as an increasingly incredulous voice of reason in Winston's life. New Girl, you keep on keepin' on.

The disgusted sound Schmidt made upon learning Jess made out with his dad is probably the best reaction I've ever seen to anything.

"I’m calling it D-Day. Of course, in this situation the D stands for decisions, and unlike the other D-Day, it will not be a walk on the beach."
