I’ve noticed that the Academy has so many slots in its documentary short and long form nominations: usually 1 slot for kids, 1 slot for anything to do with WW2, 1 slot for small towns, and 1-2 international slots. Mr. Rogers did not fit into those slots..

Also, before 1965 the Republican party was the party for civil rights, and the Democratic party was the party against civil rights. After 1965, whites left the Democrats into the GOP’s open arms, and some GOP voters registered Democrat. So some of the older entertainers like Sammy Davis jr., and James Brown stayed GOP.

IF you read the story, the creep made her mother shut her mouth with tape, then he murdered her in front of her eyes. It only took a few minutes for him to do his evil deed. No time to fight back, she survived. 

And now the creep’s family are acting shocked and pulling the “he’s such a quiet,normal boy, we don’t know what happened.” routine. His lawyers will try to plea it down or demand a change in venue. Feel really sorry for this town, and the kids in it.

You can never be too young to learn how government works. I wish they would run “Schoolhouse Rock,” on free tv, so even grownups could learn what the government should and should not do...

There’s a great book called “We got the neutron bomb,” that covers the roots of punk in LA, from about 1965 until the 1990's. L.A. had a lot of punks bands that were racially diverse, until the OC hardcore became prominent with their racial intolerence.
