Most of the pre-1960's acts helped create the sound of rock and roll. That is why doo-wop acts, rockabilly  acts, and wonderful artists like Sister Rosetta Thorpe are in the HOF. “Pop”,county and western, blues, jazz, all went into the creation of rock and roll.

Maybe they couldn’t find a great alto female voice? A lot of high schools acapella groups are mostly dudes who divide the bass,tenor , and soprano voices. my brother has put together jr. high and high school groups for 20+ years, and always has a hard time finding young women who can sing alto parts without music.

As an English History major, I will probably skip this. The Tudors on Showtime was bad enough, not to mention how bad Reign was on the CW. I just wish the makers of this film stuck to the facts, since the real stories of Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots are compelling enough.
