Instead of promoting specific comics, maybe they can run commercials telling kids to seek out their nearest comic book store or give them information to subscribe to the comics. When I was a kid commercials like this were all over the place.

I think the biggest problem is the expectations people had. I'm pretty sure without that, it wouldn't be on the worst list. It might not be on the best either, but it wouldn't get the hatred it does now.

It's interesting that they have such rules about quitting the church. I would think that anyone who had truly given up on the church would just not go or consider themselves part of it anymore and that would be the end of it. Though I guess if you're joining a different church, that could make a difference.

I mostly have a problem with CG one low budget movies like this. When you can put the time and money into doing it right (and actually do it), I'm fine.

I saw it today. Some of the padding was too much, but most of it wasn't too bad. None of it was as good as the core Bilbo and the Dwarfs story though. I didn't care for the Orc side story at all, or the rock giants. Aside from that it was fine.
