I think it's still in the same universe, he just wants the movie to stand alone.

Geez! I guess I should stop being mad that 3D movies are $12.50 where I live ($9.50 if I to a matinee, which I normally do).

You can't let horrible fans turn you off to a good series. I know it can be hard to ignore them, but it's well worth it to.

He's proving to be an excellent director, so I'm for it.

Re: Captain American

What do they say about the Acropolis where the Parthenon is ?

They looks awesome, but they are so far out of my price range that it's best I not even think about them... Heck, $125 for the set would be hard enough for me to manage, but apiece? Not even possible.

Well, as a man who has lived with a few different women, some of them are just bitchy and PMS shouldn't be used to excuse that :P

If it were an opinion piece, George would be out of his element. But it was a news story and he was matter of fact about everything. I don't think either gender is better equipped to report news, regardless of the topic.

while I'm still unsure about this movie, and not very confident about it, I just want to point out that Hollywood today is NOT the Hollywood of 25 years ago. We don't get nearly the craziness we used to. And sadly, when we do nobody goes to see it.

I've actually not seen that one, though I really should.

No problem.

They used an idea similar to the Clarke quote in Thor, so it's not without precedent in the Marvel universe.

While he doesn't always do great stuff, I would beg to differ with your assessment. Schindler's List and Hugo spring instantly to mind as other examples of quality work.

House of the Devil and The Innkeepers

The idea that all people are equal has nothing to do with genetics, intelligence, athleticism, etc. It has to with the legal system. All people are, or at least should be, equal in the eyes of the law.

I don't know, the original animated film was made for kids, and was still pretty terrifying. I'll wait and see how this goes. It seems we're due for a new family movie that messes with people's heads.

Just what I was going to say. The earlier animated movie sure pulled that off.

I really enjoy finding out about Jimmy Carter's circle of friends... A group that includes Stephen J. Gould and Mr. Wrestling II is just awesome to me :D

I like the slow reveals and glimpses.
