Of all the 80s movies I wish had sequels (Last Starfighter springs to mind), ET was never one I even thought about seeing more from.

Say what you will, but the animation looked really good. If they had used the same style to make an original girl adventure show, it would have been awesome. Also, girl adventure shows are something we need more of in general.

True... They do refer to her as "The Zealot" more than once. And I wouldn't really consider that to be a good attribute.

I loved it, but it wasn't perfect. There were definitely plot holes, but most of them didn't really bother me, as it's usually to be expected with this type of movie.

It's revealed at the end that there are other ships, so maybe the odds of randomly finding a mound really aren't that bad.
