Big Fish, Ed Wood, PeeWee's Big Adventure, and Beetlejuice are musts. He's done other good work, but maybe not to all tastes.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was set in the present... but that was a few movies ago. you also had parts of Big Fish, and before that it would have been Mars Attacks. I don't know when Frankenweenie is set, but probably a non descript time.

Yeah, he's been dropping since sleepy Hollow. He spiked back up with Big Fish, which may be his best work. He spiked a little with Sweeny Todd, but not as much.

He seems to still be getting some work, but he hasn't worked with Burton since Sleepy Hollow.

Oddly, one of my problems with Alice and CotCF is that even with the colors, they're dark and grey. His earlier colorful work stands out much better...

I never got the hate for Sky Captain... It's not brilliant cinema, but it was at least fun.

I'm incredibly excited for this film and I don't mind the concept as such...

Not yet, it's the next dvd in my netflix queue... Whenever my girlfriend watches the dvd we have now I'll be getting it.

Wash served the story too... I'm not saying it was the right choice, I'm just saying th story progressed in a way that made sense to it happening.

I guess I meant more leading roles in mainstream films... Male lead in a romcom, for instance... I'm not sure who would be the love interest, but whoever makes the movie can figure that one out :P
