was in Japan last year (absolutely loved it) and couldn’t help but think of Persona, especially since I was in a town outside of the city (like Inaba from P4) for a few glorious days.

I don’t want to hype it up too much to you, but Persona is probably the best JRPG series in existence. Whereas other series may stumble from time to time, Persona is consistently great from P1 to P5 including the Shin Megami Tensai offshoots. You’re in for a treat.
